This work was originally composed for pipa and piano, depicting a magnificent scene with distinct Chinese characteristics using Romantic style techniques. The piece is relatively long and rich in musical character variations, making it one of the works that can more fully demonstrate the composer’s technical abilities. The accordion adaptation of this work was performed in 2024 at the Royal Danish Academy of Music by the Italian accordionist Luca Bello.
